Thai Basil Beef & Fried egg

This is a dish from Jojo, one of my oldest friends. He cooks brilliantly - especially Asian dishes.

ca. 500g ground beef
6 hot chilis
6 cloves garlic
3 tsp. soja sauce
1 tsp. fish sauce
1 tsp. lime juice
1 tsp. sugar
onion
green beans
thai basil leaves
egg

How to:

Chop the chillies and garlic finely. Almoste like a paste.

Combine the fish sauce, the soja sauce and the lime juice in a small bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Put the oil, garlic ande chilli into a large frying pan and heat over a medium-high heat. Cook until the garlic is just starting to brown.

Add the minced beef and cook, until the beef is almost cooked through.

Pour in the sauce and stir well.

Add the diced onion and green beans. Cook for another minute or two until the sauce has spread and reduced.

Turn off the heat and add the basil leaves. Toss until the leaves have wilted.

Serve hot over rice with a crispy fried egg and a squeeze of lime juice.

Tips:

You can use chicken meat aswell. Just chop the meat in fine dices and you're good to go.

Regular basil works just as well. Try whatever you like more.
